Tranky Doo

Learn the Tranky Doo routine with our instructional videos - this is a lovely, well known jazz routine that we like to perform to Ella Fitzgerald's "Dipsy Doodle".

  1. Fall off the log
  2. Shuffle around
  3. Fall off the log
  4. Shuffle around
  5. Shine your shoes
  6. Boogie forward
  7. Shine your shoes
  8. Boogie forward
  9. Apple jacks for 2 sets of 8
  10. Rocking
  11. Boogie forward
  12. Boogie back
  13. Shorty George
  14. Boogie back
  15. Break step with a cross over and spin
  16. Knee slap ball change x2
  17. Knee slap kick ball change break
  18. Clap into Suzie Q (finishing on 8 or add some fancy footwork)
  19. Kick on 1 and spin anti clock wise on right leg
  20. Mess around on 7 bring legs together
  21. Fall off the log but turning anti clockwise, break on 5 with legs apart
  22. Eagle slide
  23. Kick ball change turn left into drop drop downs
  24. Drop drop down
  25. 2x cross overs (cross on 3 and a shimmy can be added)
  26. Twist
  27. Fall off the log into skating, push off on 3 using your right foot
  28. Trucking for 2 sets of 8, finish with a stomp off
  29. Hop back on left foot, bend right back on 6
  30. Walk for 3 sets of 8
  31. Box steps for 6 sets of 8
  32. Oh ah for 4 sets of 8
  33. Knee claps or slaps for 4 sets of 8 (or freestyle)
  34. Fall off the log
  35. Repeat the above!
