We will be running a 4-week beginner’s 6 beat swing dance course starting on Thursday the 13th of February. Going over 6 beat footwork which is the fastest way to get you confidently dancing on the social dance floor. There will be a steady progression throughout the course which makes it suitable for complete beginners as well as students who have enjoyed our previous courses. There will be a free social dance included which is at Rosie’s Vineyard on the 5th week so you can practice everything you have learned and meet the scene.
What to book
You don’t need a partner to book on to one of our courses. We rotate partners in class so you will meet everyone and dance with people of different abilities, this can really help newer dances to improve. Having said that if you want to come as a couple and don’t want to change partners then just let your teacher know.
In partner dancing there leaders and followers. Traditionally men lead and women follow, we encourage people to do both roles as it’s fun to get involved any way you want.
