Move list & level guide

Level 1 – Beginners (Brand New to Lindy Hop)
No previous experience needed. We start from scratch with the basic footwork and rhythms, introducing the fundamentals of partnering and connection. You’ll learn a handful of core moves, meet new people, and build the confidence to get out on the social dance floor and have fun.

Level 2 – Improvers
You’re comfortable with the basics and know at least a “Seahorse” level move set (around 10 moves), including a swing out, circle, and basic Charleston. You can dance full songs, are starting to feel musical, and want to expand your vocabulary and smooth out your technique.

Level 3 – Intermediate
You can social dance comfortably and confidently. You’re able to mix 6-count and 8-count patterns, include variations, and use more than just basic Charleston. This level focuses on refining technique, musicality, and making your dancing feel more relaxed, expressive, and playful.
